Timing of pregnancy: interestingly, the first two weeks before a woman actually gets pregnant, That is, when her menstrual period starts, count towards the duration of the pregnancy. so if you conceived let's say two weeks ago you are considered four weeks pregnant. The best way to determi gestational age in early pregnancy is by way of transvaginal ultrasound.
