Referred pain?: The nervous system sometimes registers referred pain because of connections made very early in development. The back of the throat causes ear pain, for a common example. A problem almost anywhere in the front or back of the lower abdomen can register as pain in the lips of the vagina. For example, a kidney stone, or a problem with an ovary. If continues see your practitioner.

Infection: or inflammation of your pelvis or abdomen. This could be either a urinary or pelvic infection and must be evaluated ASAP. Please call for a GYN exam. If you are unprotected and sexually active, get screened for STDs.
