A member asked:

On birth control for 1 year, no withdrawal bleeds, having pinkish spotting and now brown discharge. took one pill 6 hours late. could i be pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely, but...: It can be hard to tell if a woman is pregnant because some symptoms seen in early pregnancy can also happen in non-pregnant women. A urine pregnancy test gives a reliable result if done correctly. One can test about 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a regular withdrawal period. No withdrawal periods?....can do pregnancy test anyway.
