Safe to fly pregnant: The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists reports that it is generally safe to fly occasionally while pregnant. Airlines allow pregnant women to fly up to about 36 weeks of gestation and some require evidence of gestational age. Safest travel: Traveling by plane is the safest way to travel. This applies to pregnant women as well. Airlines have different policies as of what gestational age they won't let pregnant women fly for fear of having a delivery on the plane. Women during their first trimester should not have any problems. www.healthtap.com/drpeterbaumann
