Madarosis: Not always. What you are referring to is madarosis- loss of eyebrow and eyelash hair. There are a number of maladies that usher in madarosis. It is best to visit a physician for a workup of potential causes. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3358936/

AREATA????: Do you mean ALOPECIA AREATA? There are a variety of different alopecias. Alopecia AREATA sometimes involves all or part of eyelashes or eyebrows Usually not. Nails may be pitted.
