Tell him, stay calm: If there is any doubt about having oral herpes (cold sores), see a doctor to confirm. (Some people confuse canker sores with cold sores, but they are different.) You should tell your partner, and avoid kissing or performing oral sex when you have an outbreak. Oral herpes is not an STD, usually caught in childhood from other kids, but can be transmitted sexually (kissing, oral sex).
