Hi, my boyfriend had a sudden fever yesterday with chills and was saying his feet and hands felt numb. the chills went away after a few hours and the fever went down with ibuprofen after about another 6 hours. this morning he is complaining of body aches

Infection: Infection, probably viral is the most likely explanation. It's hard to diagnose what kind at this early stage without more localizing symptoms.
