How do we actually know that glass containers are better for us than plastic ones ?

Glass is made of: sand which is made from silica. It is a naturally existing material that does not give off any chemical residue, contaminant, or react to changes in temperature. We know it is safer than plastic because we know what denatured plastics do as a synthetic a.k.a. man made material. Any man-made material, ultimately, can harm our body in some way.
