Psychological Roots: Problems with erection can often have psychological roots, especially with a young man. However, before making that assumption, you should always rule out any medical causes. If there are none, then consider couples counseling or individual therapy for yourself and/or for him. For some reason his mental relaxation or concentration wanders resulting in loss of erection. He could consult a sex therapist for evaluation and advice.
