Many possibilities: if the normal fold lines are brown, its likely to be a chemical reaction to some topical material...could even be tea, or hair product etc. If the lines are also new, but no pain, new meds, new skin products, suggest you consult PCP or dermatologist. Watch and wait a few days is OK.
