It is effective 95%: Yes it is effective.If you missed your period do a home pregnancy test to make sure you are not pregnant. Plan B works by preventing the ovulation and it may interfere with fertilization of the egg. It is not 100% effective.If taken within24 hours it is 95% effective and if taken within 72 hours it is 89% effective

Tho effective....: Plan B is not 100% effective. If there is any doubt concerning the general health or pregnancy after taking levonorgestrel, consider follow-up physical and pelvic examination. U shd consider pregnancy if the periods are delayed by one week even after taking levonorgestrel.
