Decreases risk: The morning after pill only decreases your risk of getting pregnant after unprotected intercourse. It does not guarantee it. In 10 days a week pregnancy test taken at home would be reliable. Some irregular bleeding after emergency contraception is fairly common due to the hormonal disruption.

Estrogen will do tha: that. It is an expected effect of the high doses of hormones in the morning after pill. The hormones and their effects do not last and it is expected that by the next cycle things will return to baseline.
