Don't bet on it: Chlamydia can make you sterile, and others have their own consequences. This is one situation where you need to look at your future and take actions that protect you, regardless of any stigma that may be attached. While some STD's can have dormant periods, I wouldn't bet by future on this being one.It might happen, but infidelity remains a possibility. Condom use gives you some added protection.
