Keep yourself safe.: The first and best answer would be to try your best to not place yourself in situations of risk, even if that means dissociating yourself from friends and acquaintances you currently have. Look, things do happen out there, so you do need to watch out for yourself. If the "people" with whom you associate give you this fear, then lose them.

Self-Isolate: It sounds like you can't trust your friends. Given the heightening of fear due to Covid pandemic this is a good time to self-isolate & stay hopeful to elevate your immunity. You can find friends online and socialize with Zoom to feel safer. If you think your fear is exaggerated consult with a Clinical Psychologist for psychotherapy & a Psychiatrist for medication.
