Ask your friends!: Best place to start looking is by co-workers and colleagues. Who do they see and why? If you know any nurses or local hospital employees, they are often a good place to start too, since they know, or hear about a lot of people, and have an idea who is good. Last resort perhaps is yelp, but not always the best kinds of reviews. Good yelp does not always = good doc.
