Go Soon: First, dessicated thyroid hormone is rarely used anymore & most docs, especially for a slightly underactive thyroid would use LT4 (thyroxine) and if necessary & experienced in its use add T3 (liothyronine) if needed. A new lump could be anything from a simple cyst under the skin, a growing thyroid cyst to a thyroid nodule needing eval. If it grew fast enough to notice a change it need evaluation!
