A member asked:

I'm tying a dressing gown rope around my waist pretty tightly for 10hours + i was wondering if it will cause any damage to my body and what type ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hmmm...: One can stop doing that... for both issues. That means stop tying a tight rope around the waist, and then stop worrying about damage from tying a tight rope around the waist. Humans and animals are NOT designed to have a tight rope tied around them, unless there is a specific medical reason for doing so, such as a temporary leg tourniquet to stop rapid bleeding from a gunshot wound in the leg.
