Allergy testing: Allergy skin testing takes a couple of minutes to place the tests and the interpretation is done 20 minutes later. Allergy blood tests typically take a few days up to 1 week to get the results back. Allergy patch testing for allergic contact dermatitis (nickel, fragrance, chemicals, etc) is placed then the interpretation at 2-3 days later and again 1 week later.
