It does not sound: normal. Any discharge of strange color/odor/consistency needs to be examined and diagnosed by a healthcare provider. IUD insertion may introduce infections, or its presence with hormone release locally in the uterus may trigger cervical mucus discharge but it should not be "light green" in color.
