Hiccups represent irritation of vagus or phrenic nerve both of which run through the chest and serve the diaphragm the cause of the hiccups ( irregular contraction) , If you actually have a pneumonias, enlarged nodes it could be irritating the nerve or even GI reflux which may be a cause of your cough/bronchitis or cough f/u w/doc
