Yeast?: Gardnerella vaginitis is a common bacteria and one of the major players in vaginosis. BV isn’t passed through sex and men won’t catch it. It is possible that he has a yeast infection or some steroid responsive dermatoses. He can try a topical OTC antifungal like Nystatin, Monistat, Tenactin combined with a 1% hydrocortisone cream. If no improvement, he should see MD for more indepth evaluation.
