Any form of tissue: more dense than air filled alveoli, i.e. any type of fibrous/scar tissue resulting from response to any type of infection, injury, cancer, etc. Thus all very non-specific, general, anything which would not transmit X-Ray or other imaging method as well as normal lung. http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/362787-overview offers an overview.
