Since weaning my son 6 months ago, I have had lingering breast pain that feels almost like mastitis but never worsens. It comes and goes. No lumps, redness, warmth, or discharge. Some days it hurts under my arm as well, but the pain is not constant.
I weaned my son around 3.5 months ago. He was 2 and nursed twice daily. Minor discomfort when weaning but have since developed tenderness in one breast and radiating to armpit. No lumps. Feels similar to mastitis pain. Still can express milk. ?
Dxd mastitis on tuesday, prescription dicloxacill 500 mg qid. 11 doses so far, fever still 99.6, breast very red, pain improved but still hurts to use that pec.?
