A member asked:

If i was looking to do more than moderate drinking, how long would i have to wait after taking extended release ritalin (methylphenidate) in order to be safe?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Safe is relative : Drinking more than moderately increases risk of accidents, health problems, legal and social conflict, and emotional difficulty. So, alcohol in more than moderate amounts is not necessarily safe. Add Methylphenidate (immediate or extended release) and risks increase. Avoiding the combination of the two may help reduce risk but risk would still be present. You may wait 4-7 days at most.
