Thyroid dose: Too much thyroid may cause itching in some people. Try delaying your thyroid intake for a couple of hours and see if you still itch at the same time. If the itching occurs only after taking the thyroid, then check with your doctor re. adjusting the dose. If problem still occurs after eating, consult an allergist to look for food allergy.

Med Formulation: A lot of literature is emerging suggesting a link with the thyroid and skin symptoms such as itch/hives. Some formulations of thyroid medications can be more associated with symptoms vs. others. Consider trying a different formulation. Also, hypothyroid can be associated with dry skin, thereby increasing the risk for itch.
