A member asked:

Do fungal infections scar? (microsporum canis) had for almost 2 years (misdiagnosed) but treating with glrisefluovin tablets x8 weeks

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not generally.: any infection whether it be viral, bacterial or fungal can lead to pigmentary changes after healing. Scarring is unlikely but could be a result of scratching the skin repeatedly due to itching from the infection.
