Petrol jelly only: helps as a barrier for the surfaces that happen to be hurting or irritated. IT does help to lubricate and moisten the area as well. As far as I know, it does not cause any significant chemical reaction to the mucosal surface of the vagina or vulva. For cuts it may be best to use Sitz baths and Hazel Tucks (witch hazel) pads.
