Must see your Dr.: Breast milk is produced when hormones in your body send signals to your breast to make milk. This happens after you gave birth to a child. If you are not pregnant but making milk, little or a lot of amount, it's not normal. Please see your doctor.

Abnormal: If you have significant amount of milk production from your breast, it could be due to an hormonal imbalance arising from side effects from medications, or intrinsice abnormalities. An evaluation by your physician can help tease the cause out for you.

Sometimes: Possible causes for Galactorrhea include but are not limited to use of birth control pills, tricyclic antidepressants, antipsychotic meds, some sedatives,fennel, anise, fenugreek, some hypertension meds, Cocaine, Opioids,hypothyroidism, prolactinoma, renal dz, pregnancy, testosterone deficiency in men & significant breast stimulation.
