Most likely: It is common for the first few periods after a baby to be irregular, heavier, and more painful than you've had before. If the period lasts more than about a week long, or the pain persists after the bleeding stops, see doctor for evaluation. Otherwise, keep a calendar of your cycles to take with you to your annual exam which should be done about a year after having the baby to review with doctor.
