A member asked:

Regarding "satellites" caused by a yeast infection. when wiping the affected area after urination, can you irritate it further by essentially wiping the white portion away?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Infection: will spread by rubbing or friction. Consult your physician for a Rx for diflucan (fluconazole) and only wear cotton boxer undergarments. Wiping can increase irriation. I would also advise anti-fungal cream such as Monistat or Gyne-Lotrimin ( clotrimazole )
