No way around it: It's been a whole year and hasn't healed? I'd say it's time to see your doctor about it so that he/she can get a good look at it, and make sure there's nothing in your medical history that might predispose you to poor wound healing. It may be as simple as a spot that keeps getting reinfected, or it may be something more serious, like a bleeding problem or problem with your immune system.
