Bumps on the head: cysts, folliculitis (infected hair follicles), tumors both benign and malignant all can occur on the scalp. The fact that this one does not heal and should be examined and possibly biopsied.

Acne possible but...: ...it would be helpful to see a photograph of your lesions to more accurately answer your concern. Without one, we can only guess. Ideally, ask your physician at home to examine you so appropriate treatment can begin.
