What reaction?: You don't say the symptoms of "bad reaction". If a rash, shortness of breath, fever, or felt faint, stop taking it and see your doctor ASAP. If you mean abdominal pain or nausea, try taking it with food, which will not interfere with absorption or effectiveness. Cephalexin (Keflex®) rarely upsets the stomach, but some people could be sensitive to it. If in doubt, ask the doctor who prescribed it.

Antibiotics: Antibiotics are known to possibly cause stomach upset. For this reason it is wise to take this, and most medications, on a full stomach. It may also cause loose bowel movements as it targets both good and bad bacteria. A pro-biotic supplement, such as acidophilus, taken 2 hours after antibiotics may alleviate this.
