Exam needed: Severe upper abdominal discomfort is not usually due to pelvic or gynecological disorders. If the discomfort persists or is accompanied by abdominal tenderness,vomiting or bowel symptoms, get examined by your physician who will order the appropriate tests or,if advisable,refer you to the proper consultant.
