Depends: Depends on when it expired. It is good for 5 years. Has it been 5 years or 8 years. Depends on the age of the recipient. At 47, the possibility of pregnancy is low. The major risk of not changing the Mirena (levonorgestrel) is pregnancy. Of course, there is a higher risk of ectopic with IUDs.
