See answer below: The failure to respond to antibiotics usually indicates that either you have the more common non-bacterial, non-specific type of prostatitis which is treated differently or some other condition affecting your bladder or prostate. If there is discomfort associated with your urinary frequency, painful bladder syndrome (interstitial cystitis) is another possibility. Recommend evaluation by urologist.
