Dark & Lumpy: If you have always had regular periods up to now, then this "change" warrants reporting to your gynecologist for potential follow up. The dark blood and lumps may simply represent a build up of tissue from a change in your pituitary- gonadal hormone cycling or, possibly, a miscarriage - if that is possible knowing your personal history. Either way, it is best to keep your gynecologist in the loop.
