I am 12 weeks and i went to the er last night they were unable to find the baby's heartbeat what does that mean?

It may not mean: anything, or it may mean you will have miscarriage soon. At 12 weeks things are still early and even Dopplers may miss a hearbeat. If you have not had symptoms by now, chances are your baby is doing okay. At 18-20 weeks you should be scheduled for ultrasound to measure gestational age of the baby and determine sex. Or see your OB-GYN earlier if you are still concerned.
