A member asked:

What is the most effective way to have sex without risk of stds and unplanned pregnancy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

That's an easy one.: STD's are communicable diseases, meaning they communicate from one person to the next, to the next, etc... Thus, to avoid an STD, just have sex with only one person (that one person has to do the same). There's a name for this... monogamy. Then, to prevent surprise babies, the IUD is very effective... but so is using a condom correctly, every time, all the time.
