Many things: It could be a muscle spasm. It could be a lymph nodes ,do you have any pets. If the pain in the middle could be a thyroid nodules, or the larynx. If it is to the side ,it could be a salivary gland, or again a lymph nodes. By the way lymph nodes enlargement could be for an acute condition, or a chronic condition. Hydrate well, apply heat pad to the area, sleep with your head to to prevent reflux.
