Complex, contact doc: Prostatitis and painful ejaculation are complex. Maybe STD or seminal vesiculitis instead. Most prostatitis isn't bacterial and no antibiotic helps. For known bacterial infection, ampicillin is not a common drug, not active against many urinary bacteria. If you are self treating, stop the drug and get professional care. If under doc's care, contact the office about duration of Rx and next steps.
