Not an STD: On one hand, a scar alone will not bleed. So it would seem your kissing partner had something else as well. No way to tell whether it was an injury or some sort of sore. However, no STD is a likely cause either of a scar or new sore. Oral herpes comes closest, but isn't considered an STD. Even if some STD caused the scar, by definition a scar is healed and connot transmit infection.
