How regular are they: If extremely regular, then the number of days from Aug. 2 until Sep. 1 would be the time from Sep. 1 until the start of the next period. That is 30 days. So, if extremely regular, one can expect the next period to start Oct. 1. If not too regular, then one has to look on her calendar diary and count the number of days for the cycles of the past 4-6 months, and figure out the average cycle length.
