A member asked:

Do stomach ulcers cause a lot of gas?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pain yes,gas no: The gas you produce is a combination of swallowed air and gas arising from the action of gut germs on undigested food. Beans as an example have fucose,a sugar humans don't metabolize, but germs do. Eat a lot, and germ action makes you gassy. Ulcers are just holes in the upper layers of the tissue lining the inside of the gut.
