Safe: Advil (ibuprofen) and similar medications are safe but all medications come with potential adverse effects. You are correct that you shouldn't exceed the recommended dose on the bottle but chronic use ( daily for more than 6 weeks) requires discussion with your doctor to screen for side effects and consider alternatives.
