Do a pregnancy test: Home pregnancy tests are fairly reliable within days of conception. If your period is 12 days late and you are pregnant, the test should be positive. If the test is negative, repeat another test in about 1 week if you have not started your period yet. If you are pregnant, there are many reasons you need to know as soon as possible. Delaying the test will not change the result.
