Cod liver oil: although there's good evidence for cod liver oil decreasing triglyceride levels and possible evidence for some improvement in blood pressure and kidney disease in diabetics, there is no good evidence for an effect on the joints, skin, or hair. Also, it contains very high levels of vitamin D and vitamin K, and could result in overdosage of those vitamins. I would not recommend taking it daily.
