Lump in left labium: The most common cause of such a lump is retention of secretion in a gland called Bartholin's gland. This gland participates in lubrication of the vagina There is one in each lip. When the neck of the gland is blocked the secretion causes it to swell up and form a cyst. It is usually painless. If it gets infected it becomes a painful abcess which will then need to be drained. Try taking sitz baths.
