Sometimes yes: Women never know exactly when their fertile days are. Women can only estimate. For example, suppose a woman with a 24 day cycle has sex on the fourth day of her period. She probably ovulates around day 10, but if she ovulates a day sooner, and if some sperm survive an extra day, she can get pregnant even though she had sex on the fourth day of her period. Life can be full of surprises.
