See a gynecologist: There are several treatments for long, irregular or painful menses that would not require a pelvic exam. Ultrasound and labs would probably be done though.

May be normal: If you are 15 and recently started your periods, these episodes maybe normal on occasion and will stop one the communication between your brain, ovaries and uterus matures. It sounds like this is an isolated occurrence, so monitor this. Be sure you eat nutritiously. I trust you are not sexually active as well. Monitor your cycles, if it reoccurs or does not resolve, see your doctor.
